Tips for hanging doors

Equipment

Tape measure, Electric Drill, Phillips Screwdriver, Pencil, Spirit Level, Clean blanket or towel

Carefully unpack the doors and identify which doors go on which units

Lay one door at a time on a work surface protected by a blanket or towel

This surface must be free of any dust or particles that may scratch the doors

Do not allow the doors to lie upon any other doors

1 Carefully place the hinges complete with back plates into the holes

2 Place a spirit level behind the hinges to ensure that they are straight

3 Screw the screws provided into the hinges

4 offer the door and hinges up to the unit in final open position

5 Mark the unit side through the holes in the back plate with a pencil

6 Drill pilot holes only into the marked places

7 Finally place screws through the back plates into the pilot holes and fasten securely in place.

DOORS MUST NOT BE FITTED ANY LESS THAN 750MM ABOVE A HOB

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE RECCOMEND ONLY A COMPETENT PROFESSIONAL OR EXPERIENCED DIYer CARRY OUT INSTALLATION FOLLOWING APPROPRIATE SAFETY RULES.

OLD OVENS WITH DEGENERATED SEALS EMIT DANGEROUSLY HIGH LEVELS OF HEAT AND NEED TO BE REPLACED. PLEASE DO NOT FIT DOORS ADJACENT TO SUCH AN APPLIANCE AS THE TEMPERATURE WILL EXCEED FIRA INDUSTRY LIMITS.
